Airlines at John Lennon Airport (JLA) include two of Europe’s low cost airlines, EasyJet and Ryanair, both of which have large bases at JLA. A taxi from the airport to the city centre will take around 20 minutes and cost approximately £20. The express bus service Route 500 costs around £5 and will take approximately 25 minutes, dropping you off within a five-minute walk of ACC Liverpool. Just 45 minutes away via the motorway network, Manchester Airport has an even more extensive network of flights, with long haul destinations including America and the Far East served with direct flights. Trains towards Liverpool on Manchester Airport’s lime blue line operate half hourly until late, with reduced frequency of services on Sundays. The average journey times vary between one hour and one hour thirty minutes.
Virgin Trains operate direct services hourly from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street (with a journey time of just over two hours). Other long distance rail services also operate into Liverpool Lime Street.
ACC Liverpool is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street or approximately a 5 minute taxi ride. You can also transfer at Lime Street onto the underground Wirral Line trains to James Street station (10-minute walk) or catch the CityLink bus which runs every 12 minutes as a circular service around the city centre and stops at both Liverpool Lime Street and ACC Liverpool.

The Liverpool ONE retail development bus station is just five minutes’ walk from ACC Liverpool, which offers long distance coach services for delegates.
Local services take delegates to the city centre where a convenient shuttle bus service connects to ACC Liverpool. Most Liverpool city centre-bound buses call at either Queen Square bus station (a 15-minute walk or shuttle bus connection) or Liverpool ONE Bus Station, which is only a five minute walk from ACC Liverpool.
The CityLink Route C4 shuttle bus links Queen Square bus station, James Street rail station and Liverpool ONE Bus Station to ACC Liverpool. It operates every 30 minutes, seven days a week, between 7am – 8pm.
By Car From The North: Leave the M6 at junction 26 and follow signs for M58 Liverpool. Follow to the end of M58 and take signs for A59 Liverpool. Continue to follow Liverpool City Centre until picking up signs for the Waterfront.
By Car From The South: Leave the M6 at junction 21A and take the M62 to Liverpool. At the end of the M62 follow signs for Liverpool City centre along Edge Land, picking up and following signs for The Waterfront.

Walk / Cycle
Cyclists can easily find their way around Liverpool thanks to a network of designated cycle routes. Delegates wishing to come to ACC Liverpool by bicycle can find out more about the routes available from Liverpool City Council’s website. Cycles are free on ferries and trains in Merseyside and most stations benefit from free, secure cycle storage. ACC Liverpool has its own secure cycle parking in the Liverpool Waterfront car park.
